Old Pulteney Distillery

Old Pulteney Distillery was founded in 1826 by James Henderson and is the most northerly distillery on the mainland. Due to the demand for whisky from the provincial towns of Scotland the port of Wick was how it was exported. They make fine Single Malt Whisky's and liqueur. The whisky is deep amber red gold colour. Matured over the years it acquires a taste of the sea air. The canister shows a picture of the Wick Herring Drifter fishing boat.

There is a visitor centre on the site to discover all the history of the distillery and Wick.
